2. No Warranty
This software is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. The authors and contributors shall not be liable for any claim, damages, or other liability arising from the use of this software.

They are included here solely for personal, educational, and non-commercial purposes under fair use principles.
GuitarGui does not claim ownership of any third-party musical works. No song content provided by this application may be used for commercial purposes, public performance, or redistribution without obtaining appropriate licenses from the rights holders.

5. User Data & Privacy
GuitarGui is a local-first application. All user data — including practice progress, streaks, and preferences — is stored exclusively in your browser’s local storage. No personal data is collected, transmitted, or stored on any server. Clearing your browser data will permanently delete your progress.
Microphone access is used solely for real-time pitch detection and is never recorded, stored, or transmitted.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the authors, contributors, or maintainers of GuitarGui be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising out of or in connection with the use or inability to use this software, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
7. Changes to These Terms
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
